Project Management

Jeremy Bradford
Jeremy Bradford
Project Coordinator
jeremybradford@tennessee.edu
Jeremy, originally hailing from Ohio, embarked on a remarkable journey that seamlessly blends military service and a passion for technology. Following high school, he embraced adventure and enlisted in the Navy, commencing a decade-long active service that took him around the globe. During this time, Jeremy discovered his affinity for technology and fueled by his newfound passion, dedicated himself to mastering computer skills. His commitment manifested in the attainment of A+ and Net+ certifications, solidifying his expertise in the rapidly evolving field.

In 2008, after a decade of active duty, Jeremy transitioned to civilian life, relocating to Tennessee with his wife and son. Undeterred by leaving active duty, he joined the Navy Active Ready Reserves, extending his service commitment for an additional 15 years, in which he retired after 25 years of service. This decision allowed him to balance his military dedication with civilian pursuits.

Not content to rest on his laurels, Jeremy sought opportunities in the burgeoning field of technology. His journey led him to a role as a Systems Administrator in the nuclear sector in Oak Ridge. Over the years, he honed his skills and earned the title of SQL Database Administrator, paving the way for a fulfilling role at the University of Tennessee. Joining the Department of Technical Services (DTS), then Information Technology Systems (ITS), within the University System Administration, Jeremy assumed the responsibilities of a SQL DBA and System Administrator.

Eager to specialize further, he delved into program development, securing a position in the Business Intelligence group as a software developer. In this role, Jeremy applied Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Data Engineering techniques, contributing significantly to the establishment of the University of Tennessee System (UT) Administration’s student data processing system.

Driven by a desire for leadership, Jeremy embarked on a dual educational journey. He earned an Associate degree in Business Administration from Pellissippi State and is currently on the cusp of completing his bachelor’s degree in business administration/information systems management through the University of Tennessee Martin. Post-graduation, he aspires to pursue an MBA, further augmenting his managerial acumen.

Jeremy’s dedication extends beyond academia, as evidenced by his Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma certifications. Currently serving as the Project Coordinator for the Academic Affairs, Research, and Student Success team under the Institutional Effectiveness group, he continues to make impactful contributions to the University.
